How does Digene work?

Anybody who is having any kind of stomach pain (mainly acidity) is asked to take Digene. Your stomach contains hydrochloric(HCl) acid that helps up break the food being eaten. In some people body sometimes the acid overflow in the Oesophagus and then stings to cause what we call 'acidity'. Peristalsis makes sure that once the food has been through the Oesophagus it doesn't come back up. Unfortunately, during acidity, the HCl in the stomach starts acting up on the Oesophagus you have the burning sensation. As you all know all know Digene belongs to a category called Anti-acids which as the name suggests is medicine to counter the acids in our stomach.

To try this you need some dilute HCl, Digene (or some other anti-acid) and a parent who you can blame if anything goes wrong (I burn a classmate's socks while doing this experiment but I hade made sure that the acid was not strong enough to penetrate any human skin). I myself had done this experiment without an adult's supervision but I don't know your age that's why I am saying so.

Now take the acid (when I say acid I mean a container and acid) and put some Digene on it. You can clearly see the raft form on top of the acid so that it doesn't allow the acid to cross above into one's Oesophagus
